Join Us for an Inspiring Event with Dr. Sarah Mincey! 🌿

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Sarah Mincey, a leading environmental scientist from Indiana University Bloomington, to Evansville as part of the Evansville Museum’s annual Scientist-in-Residence program!

The Scientist-in-Residence Program is sponsored by Margaret Dennis in memory of her parents, Jim and Ana Ward.

📅 Date: Friday, March 7, 2025 (One Day Only!)
📍 Public Lecture: Koch Immersive Theater (KIT)
Time: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Dr. Mincey, who serves as a Clinical Associate Professor and Managing Director of the Environmental Resilience Institute, will be delivering an engaging talk on the powerful benefits of urban forests—and how we can all play a role in growing and caring for them sustainably. 🌳💚

Before her public lecture, Dr. Mincey and our Director of Science Experiences, Jaigan Allport, will be inspiring young minds at local elementary schools, presenting “Healthy Trees, Healthy Me” to 5th-grade classes. Through a fun and interactive lesson, students will gain valuable knowledge to help them create submissions for the Indiana DNR’s Arbor Day poster competition! 🎨🌱

Don't miss this opportunity to hear from a passionate environmental expert and learn how urban forests shape our communities. Mark your calendar and join us for this exciting event!
