Held at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway—a track dating back to 1909, with the first race run in 1911—the Indianapolis 500 has captivated generations of fans and drivers alike.

Through a compelling selection of artifacts, stories, and historical highlights, this exhibition brings to life the people and events that shaped the race’s enduring legacy. From groundbreaking achievements to unforgettable moments on the track, visitors will gain a deeper appreciation for the Indianapolis 500’s place in American culture.

500 Miles to Go is included with general Museum admission.
