FREE to attend

Join the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science for September’s The Club, a monthly gathering designed for adults to connect, take a break, and learn something new. This month, we’ll explore the Museum’s special exhibition Pieces of the Past: America at 250 Years with a guided art tour led by Virginia G. Schroeder Curator of Art Cheyenne E. Miller.

The Club will take place on Friday, September 4, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Museum doors open at 11 AM, with the guided tour beginning at 11:15 AM.

A Closer Look at Pieces of the Past

Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, Pieces of the Past: America at 250 Years brings together historical artifacts, artwork, photographs, and stories that explore America’s past through a local lens.

During this special guided tour, Cheyenne Miller will highlight artwork within the exhibition and offer insight into the objects, artists, and stories that help connect Evansville’s history to the larger American experience. Whether you’ve already visited the exhibition or are seeing it for the first time, the tour offers an opportunity to look more closely and discover something new.

Meet Your Guide

Cheyenne E. Miller is the Evansville Museum’s Virginia G. Schroeder Curator of Art. She received her Master of Arts in Cultural Resource Management from the University of Evansville in 2025, following dual bachelor’s degrees in Art History and World Languages and Cultures in 2022.

Through her curatorial practice, Miller works to provide engaging educational experiences for the tri-state region through purposeful exhibition curation, interpretation, and design. She currently serves on the University of Evansville Friends of Art Board.

More Than a Tour

The Club is more than a monthly presentation—it’s an opportunity to meet new people, take a break, and spend time at the Museum in a relaxed setting. Each month features a special presentation, tour, or activity, along with snacks and board games.

Families are welcome, too! The Kids’ Zone provides a space where children can play while adults participate in The Club activities. Kids remain safely within your eyesight while you enjoy the program.

There is no fee to attend The Club on First Fridays, though donations are gratefully accepted. RSVPs are not required, but larger groups are encouraged to call ahead.
