Join us for the August edition of The Club, a free monthly gathering for adults featuring opportunities to connect, learn, and explore the Evansville Museum.

This month, we're hitting the track! ๐Ÿ

Join Tom Lonnberg, Chief Curator & Curator of History, for a guided tour of 500 Miles to Go: Recalling Select Milestones & Moments of the Indianapolis 500, the Museum's exciting exhibition celebrating the history, legends, and unforgettable moments of one of America's most iconic sporting events.

About 500 Miles to Go

Step into the thrilling history of the Indianapolis 500 and explore the milestones, moments, and people that have shaped this legendary race.

Held at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedwayโ€”a track dating back to 1909, with the first Indianapolis 500 taking place in 1911โ€”the race has captivated generations of drivers and fans.

Through a compelling selection of artifacts, stories, and historical highlights, 500 Miles to Go brings the race's enduring legacy to life and explores its place in American culture.

The exhibition is included with general Museum admission and will be on view through August 23, 2026.

The Club is a chance to meet new people, take a break, and learn something new. Each month features a special presentation or guided tour, along with board games and snacks.

The Museum's Kids' Zone is also available for children and grandchildren, allowing adults to enjoy The Club activities while keeping little ones safely within eyesight.

The Club is FREE to attend! Donations are gratefully accepted. RSVPs are not required, though larger groups are encouraged to call ahead.
