--- About Driving Possibilities ---

Driving Possibilities is a $110 million national initiative, through the Toyota USA Foundation, focused on preparing youth for the careers of tomorrow while addressing root causes impacting learning. This is achieved through innovative programs that increase STEM awareness and excitement while addressing the basic needs of students and families.

The University of Evansville, through the Center for Innovation and Change, is the Coordinating Partner for Driving Possibilities Indiana. Toyota has pledged $13 million over 5 years to address the unique challenges that impact learning in our region.

Our areas of focus include:

  • Early childhood education
  • Student mental health and well-being
  • Teacher support and development
  • Multi-language learning
  • Hands-on STEM education

A portion of the grant went to UE to build the IN-Mac Design and Innovation Training Studio, housed in the Tapley Education Resource Center.  One of only 3 in the state of Indiana, its purpose it to provide training to STEM educators and students in the region.  The studio is also available for field trips and STEM-related outreach activities.

Susan Nyberg, Program Manager, and Adison White, STEM Education Coordinator, will be here to introduce you to the program and provide exciting hands-on activities for all ages!
