On Friday May 1 from 11:15 am to 1 pm, the Evansville Museum will be hosting its monthly Club. This FREE event, sponsored by Trilogy Health Services, Solarbron, and Park Avenue Securities & The Owen Team, is open to all adults and takes place from 11 am to 1 pm on the first Friday of (almost) every month.
This month's presentation will be "100 Years of Vintage Clothing Revisited: The Breadsley, Montgomery & Gordon Collections" by Jennifer Greene, Associate Professor of Library Science and University Archivist at the David L. Rice Library, University of Southern Indiana (USI)
This presentation is of one family's clothing collection from 1870 to 1970. It features wonderfully detailed handmade items, as well as designer labels. Come take a stroll through fashions of the past as we see how styles changed and marvel at the wonderful care that was taken to preserve this beautiful clothing collection. New images of clothing and hats were added to this presentation in 2020.
This presentation is free to attend. Museum doors open at 11 am, and the presentation will begin at 11:15 am.
