The Evansville Museum Geek Con is back—and this year we're celebrating 10 years of bringing together fans of pop culture, creativity, science, history, and the arts!
Whether you're a lifelong comic book collector, a sci-fi enthusiast, a tabletop gamer, a cosplay veteran, or simply curious about convention culture, Geek Con offers something for everyone. This family-friendly event welcomes fans of all ages and experience levels, making it the perfect place for seasoned geeks and first-time attendees alike.

Whether you're coming to compete in cosplay, shop for collectibles, learn something new, or simply spend the day surrounded by fellow fans, you'll find plenty to explore during this special 10th anniversary celebration.

There will be two categories:
👧 Kids: Ages 0–17
🧑 Adults: 18+
Each category will have:
🥇 1 Grand Prize Winner
🥈 2 Runners-Up
That means SIX winners total! 🎉
📸 11 AM–3 PM: Register for the contest in the Pavilion. Contestants will be photographed and provide their name and contact information.
💬 2:30–3:30 PM: Meet back in the Pavilion to chat with our cosplay judges! They’ll want to hear about your costume, how you made it, your props, and more.
⚖️ 3:30–4:15 PM: Judges deliberate.
🏆 4:30 PM: Winners announced in the Pavilion!
👨👩👧 Geek Con is a family-friendly event, so costumes must be family-friendly.
✨ NO GLITTER is permitted inside the Museum. Glitter can permanently damage art, artifacts, and carpet.
⚔️ No live-steel weapons are permitted on Museum property. Cosplay weapons will be checked and may be peace-tied.
🖼️ Please be mindful of your costume, props, and accessories around Museum artwork and artifacts. Large costumes and backpacks can accidentally come into contact with displays.
🏆 All judges’ decisions are final.
