🎭 Geek Con Cosplay Contest Rules – 2025

Quick Rule Summary

• 📍 Register in the Pavilion (Room 1) between 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 🗣 Meet the Judges in the Pavilion from 3:00 – 3:30 PM
• 🏆 Winners Announced in the Pavilion at 4:30 PM

Categories & Prizes

• Two Age Groups:
  • Kids: Ages 0 – 17
  • Adults: Ages 18+
• Prizes:
  • 1 Grand Prize Winner per category
  • 2 Runners-Up per category
  • Total Winners: 6

General Rules

• This is a family-friendly convention — costumes must be appropriate for all ages.
  • Staff may request modifications to costumes not meeting this guideline.
• ❌ No Glitter — it damages art, artifacts, and carpets.
• Be mindful of props and costume pieces near artwork.
• ❌ No live-steel weapons allowed. All props will be inspected and may be peace-tied.
• All judges’ decisions are final.

Registration Process

1. Sign Up in the Pavilion (Room 1) between 11 AM – 3 PM.
   • We’ll take your photo and collect your name and contact info.
   • Photos may be used for Museum marketing, promotions, and social media.
2. Optional but Encouraged: Meet the judges from 3:00 – 3:30 PM to share details about your costume, props, and creative process.
3. Winners Announced at 4:30 PM in the Pavilion (Room 1). You do not have to be present to win.
