Join us for a special evening honoring the legacy of the historic 1945 Evansville Day Parade—the most attended parade in the city’s history. Held to celebrate local service members and those who supported the WWII effort at home, the parade featured floats, bands, and military equipment, capturing the spirit of a community united.

This commemorative program will include:
• A synopsis of World War II leading up to the parade
• An overview of Evansville’s vital role during WWII
• A rare, 8-minute home movie showing highlights from the original parade

Presenters:
🎓 Dr. James MacLeod – University of Evansville, Professor of History
🎓 Savanah Summerfield – WWII Studies Graduate Student, Arizona State University
🏛️ Tom Lonnberg – Chief Curator & Curator of History, Evansville Museum

Presented by:
Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science
