The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science invites you to be part of Art in Bloom 2026, a beloved annual celebration that pairs exceptional floral design with inspiring works from the Museum’s collection.
This year’s Art in Bloom will look a little different—and even more inspiring.
As Art in Bloom continues to grow, we are thrilled to expand the showcase beyond a single gallery and into the entire Museum. Participating floral designers will have the unique opportunity to explore every gallery and exhibition and select the artwork that inspires them most.
For the first time, inspiration is not limited to fine art alone—designers may also choose works from the Museum’s science and history galleries, opening up exciting new possibilities for creative interpretation.
Floral arrangements on display:
The Museum will host a Cocktail Preview Party on Thursday, April 16 at 6 PM.
From Friday, April 17 onward, the exhibition is included with general museum admission. This year, florists will compete for the $500 Best in Show Award, $275 1st Place People's Choice Award, and $175 2nd Place People's Choice Award - so don't forget to vote for your favorite arrangement! People's choice voting concludes at 2 PM on Sunday, April 19.
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new event to Art in Bloom on Saturday, April 18 at 12 PM: Blind Design Challenge – Florists vs. Museum Staff
For this fast-paced, interactive competition, the Museum’s Art Curator will select a work from the collection that is not currently on display. The artwork will be revealed at the start of the program, and participants will have one hour to create a floral arrangement inspired by the piece.
Guests will then be invited to bid on their favorite design, and the arrangement that sells for the highest amount wins!
Guests and floral designers are invited to Bloom With Us at our Florist Appreciation Reception and Presentation. A talented floral designer (TBA) will provide a demonstration on an element of floral design they feel most passionate about. Keep an eye out for more information!
