Celebrating 250 Years of American Folk Music

Join the Evansville Museum for a special musical celebration as part of our America at 250 event series.

This lively performance explores and celebrates 250 years of folk music that helped shape the American experience, bringing traditional sounds and timeless songs to life through traditional instrumentation, lively arrangements, and harmonious voices.

From songs passed down through generations to musical traditions that reflect the diverse people and experiences that make up America, folk music has long served as a way to tell stories, preserve history, build community, and express the American spirit.

Music will be performed by Rod Bennett, Caroline Dahlquist, Rob Spear, and Ben Dahlquist.

Whether you’re a lifelong lover of folk music or simply looking for a unique way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, this performance offers an evening of music, history, and shared traditions.

Free to attend.
