COFFERDAM

In this image, the cofferdam is constructed. This temporary dam was built as part of the process of building the launching ramp. The cofferdam fully enclosed a section of the river adjacent to the shore and then the remaining water was pumped from this area. This allowed for the installation of launching way supports.
