Registration Guidelines
  • The deadline for registration is two weeks before the scheduled date.
  • Payment must be received on or before the registration deadline.
  • Registration is complete only after we receive payment and you receive a confirmation letter.
  • Refunds will only be issued prior to our two-week deadline. Additional girls may be admitted after the two-week deadline, at the staff's discretion, provided there are still spots available.
  • Space is limited for workshops, and they are filled on a first-received basis following the guidelines above.
  • A ratio of one adult for every six girls is recommended. Due to limited space, we ask that each troop restrict the number of adults to four per troop.
  • Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met. In the event that a workshop or Space Night is cancelled by the Museum, troop leaders will be notified and registration fees will be refunded, even if the two-week deadline has passed.

Fun Patches

Souvenir Patch Due to popular demand, we are once again offering fun patches for troops who visit the Museum or participate in one of our Girl Scout programs. Souvenir fun patches are optional, and are NOT INCLUDED with the price of badge workshops or Space Nights.

Patches may be purchased at a cost of $1.50 each, and patches can be ordered by marking the appropriate space on the program registration forms.

Troops who have visited the Museum in the past are welcome to purchase patches by contacting Gena Garrett at (812) 425-2406 ext. 228 or by email at gena@emuseum.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ABOUT THE BADGES?
The Evansville Museum will provide Try-Its or badges for each Girl Scout program. The cost for the badge is included in the registration fee.

WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE?
If you are attending our daytime workshops, we ask all troops to arrive at the Museum 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled workshop. For our Space Night programs, we ask all troops to arrive at the Museum 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled event. The Evansville area is in the Central Time Zone and observes Daylight Savings Time.

DO WE NEED TO EAT BEFOREHAND?
The Museum will provide a small snack ONLY for our Space Night programs. For daytime workshops, the Museum does not provide any type of snack or meal. If you attend both workshops on the same date, we recommend bringing a sack lunch. We will provide a place to eat between the morning and afternoon workshops.

MAY I GET A REFUND OR MAKE CHANGES TO MY RESERVATION?
Changes to your reservation may be made prior to our two-week deadline. No refunds will be made after the deadline.

DO ADULTS HAVE TO PAY?
If you are attending one of our Space Nights, there is a $2 charge for each adult. For our daytime workshops, adults are free. Due to limited space, we ask that each troop limit the number of adults to four per troop.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING?
All materials are provided by the Museum for both our daytime workshops and Space Nights. We do recommend that those who are attending our Space Night programs bring a coat or jacket, as there will be an opportunity for outdoor stargazing, weather permitting. Also, our workshops can be messy, so play clothes are recommended.

WILL WE HAVE FREE TIME?
Free time to explore the Museum is only scheduled during our Space Night events. Troops are always welcome to explore the Museum on their own after a morning workshop session and before or after an afternoon session.

If you have any questions or comments, please let us know by emailing Gena Garrett.
