Job Opening: Science Experiences Specialist
The Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science is seeking a qualified individual with the ability to create memorable experiences for guests in the science areas of the Museum. Responsibilities include: projectionist duties in our Koch Immersive theater (opens January 2014), the creation of digital graphic products and the presentation of astronomy based programs in the Theater. Other responsibilities include: providing occasional assistance at our admissions desk, helping with institutional marketing activities and pitching in during the install changing science exhibitions.
You'll be working with our Science Director and Director of Membership and Marketing in a general museum of arts, history and science that has been a key part of the Tri-State community for over 100 years. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in an aligned area of study, possess good communication skills. Superior candidates would be familiar with software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite 6, Discrete 3ds Max ™ or Blender. A large enthusiasm for science is required! This is a part-time, hourly position. Weekends and occasional evening and weekday hours are required. Benefits include a pension plan.
